Mantle

Voluminous, falling symmetrically over both sides of median line.


Bouquet

The bouquet is a complimentary feathering, set at the base of the mantle between the wings, falling to the left or right.


Jabot and Abdomen

The feathers from both sides of the breast curl towards the centre of the chest where they touch each other. The abdomen is likewise frilled.


Fins (Flanks)

The fins are set above the thighs, being voluminous and rising symmetrically all around.


Head, Collar and Side-whiskers

The head of the mehringer is proportionately large and well frilled, in harmony with the rest of the body.

The head is set in the shoulders, surrounded along its base by feathers that curl upwards to form a collar.

The cheeks are well filled, with side-whiskers effect.


Legs

Short, with well feathered thighs.


Tail

The tail is broad and tight. cock feathers show on both sides of the tail.


Position

Position is erect. The head, the back and the tail must follow a straight line.


Plumage

Voluminous and silky.
